SOCIAL MEDIA CAMPAIGN
#whereisthelaw
Since 2015 there have been 92 recorded incidences of mob lynchings in India. In July 2018, the Supreme Court of India gave a directive to Parliament to enact a special law against mob lynching. 11 months later this has not happened…
One year ago in Assam our world was rocked by the brutal mob lynching of two young men. While we await justice for this case another brutal lynching just occurred in upper Assam claiming the life of a woman and her son. This simply has to stop. It is no longer a case if another mob lynching will happen, but tragically when. As such, to ensure the rule of law and the constitution is respected, we need a law against mob lynching in India.
